The weekend was awesome! I was sad when everyone had to drive back to Iowa. But I would rather take that, than not. Thanks for such a great labor day!

Saturday: still having fun!

Saturday Andrew and I had another yummy breakfast, then went to the Farmers Market to find the garlic lady, but she wasnt there! Oh well, off to do a run out at the 'flats' and then swiming at the res! Yippee! We got home in time to plan our day on Sunday: Climb 2 14ers. More photos to come on that!

Boyz arrival

Lots of bikes, lots of things to take care of, but Yah Hoo! They guys arrived! But at the end of it, who could complain of venison burgers, corn on the cob, fresh broccoli and a cat on your lap?

Nap time before dinner

Dan had a big day and needed some nap time. Friday, the next day, he is off to ride his dirt bikes in the mountains of Colorado.

First mountain bike ride

After we got Dan on his way, Andrew and I hit the road to go for his first mountain bike ride! Andrew rocked it! I think disk brakes and 4" of front and back suspension felt a little crazy at first but he got the hang of it and had a blast! Rocking it on the downhills and really kicking it on the climbs. Go Andrew!

On our way home we stopped by the garden to pick up some dinner items: tomato, squash, basil, carrots, cucumbers, and a few bug bites.

Dizzy Lizzy's

 

We had our annual summer party this past weekend. Full of a bike circut course over make shift bridges, a relay race that included 3 person teams, slamming a beer and dizzy lizzys, and of course the BB gun part. I have to say I am a natural at this part which is a bit shocking. Out of 15 BB's I hit the first three beer cans with my first 3 shots! Got the paper goofer in the heart too! Who would have thunk that, eh?
